Little home work and It was all free! Chicken was kept almost in all houses to get eggs and meat. If you had few chicken, you get few eggs every day. Have your breakfast and serve guests also. Chicken were let sit on a dozen? eggs and after around 21 days, they hatched and new chicks born running around following the mother hen; - elders and children all loved those chicks and they were fed pleasurably. So the number of chicken was every increasing. If you did not have enough space inside for chicken to walk around, find some food. Chicken would leave house in the morning and come back in the evening to their cage. They rooster did something extra; woke us up early morning to do kitchen work; prepare for school and job.
God has programmed production over a period of time differently for birds and animals as they are needed and consumed. Chicken and eggs are most used so hen lays egg daily until a free period she stays. Chicken are born in 21 days. Goat delivers after six months because they are less consumed for meat and milk. Cow and buffalo deliver in around ten months because meat is less consumed but they give milk in bulk. Likewise fish is consumed much and its population is multiplied accordingly.
NOW WE DON'T DO IT – We are made aware of "BAD SMELL - FILTH" and are forced to shop these mostly fed on chemical feed and fertilizers and unknowingly whether the bird was healthy.
After 1947 - I have seen poultry, goats; animals are still being raised in villages and on farms and we should try to shop this poultry though little expensive.
