Attitudes and Local Customs

Attitudes and customs

We should try to find, as much as possible, about attitudes and customs of people where we are relocating. This will make residents and us feel comfortable.

If still in doubt, ask some one there, how to perform “as new residents”.

Find out:
 City office and what help is available there
 Community center (are there any festivals and events)
 Disposal of garbage/recycle material
 Gas stations and vehicle wash and repair centers
 Grocery stores
 Hospitals and private health centers (mode of payment for services)
 Kids would-be friends in neighbor
 Local transportation and its net work
 Police Emergency Service phone number
 Public library (visit many people there would like to be friends)
 Restaurants
 Schools and colleges
 Vehicle parking
 Weather
 Worship places

Avoid political and faith discussion.
Make social contacts with the neighbors.
